
All animals proposed for registration must be ear-marked according to the Society’s system as indicated here above. In view of fact that each animal has to be named and registered separately, it is advisable that each animal should bear a distinctive ear number. Pigs should be marked shortly before weaning. The notches should be cut one-eighth of an inch wide and one-quarter to three-eights of an inch deep, at the spot indicated on the key.
